Hello Jonathan, I have a problem when export a midifile from Sibelius in a sequencer . I tried to export a midi to Cubase, chosing the soundset in Sibelius when export; but Cubase does'nt read the sound set articulation, and Kontakt 2 vst in Cubase does'nt load the instruments automaticly ! So the question is : is it possible to export a midifile from Sibelius to Cubase with all articulation of Sound set ? And the Kontakt 2 in Cubase can load the sounds automaticly ? ( So I can work and tweak the final recording in the sequencer ) How can we export a piece in midifile from Sibelius to Cubase and having all the sound set information for the Ewql instrument channel ? Hello Jonathan, I have a question about how to chose different sound for a track when the sound of Sound set is not satisfactory. If I go in the mixer of Sibelius and chose not the Auto Sound set, but un instrument of the list of EWQL ( from strings, wind, etc... ) this sound is set for all the lenght of the score : so I cannot made any change to the articulation during the bars of the score. Is there a way to change instrument during the score, maybe with midi message ? Where can I find a chart of midi message for program change for EWQL PRO ? How can I do this ? A second question : my version of Sibelius is 5.2 not 5.2.5 . Is it OK or I need to update it ? Thanks .

Hello Jonathan, please can You post a list of sample used for every sign of the score ? which sample of EWQL library corresponde to legato, staccato, pizzicato ? I would like to know how we can modify the table of the sound for each articulations, because of I don't like some articulations in the XP PRO Lite Gold Sound Set . Especially in a violin line , there is abrupts and not beatiful changes of articulation! :: for example from legato to staccato, there is a change abrupt between a note played legato and other played staccato, a big difference of timbre and volume too, so the musical effect of the line is not very good...!!! Can we modify your sound set, which program use for to do this ?? Or can you adjust the sound set ?? Thanks.

Hello Jonathan, I stopped some services of Xp , XP now uses about 150 Mbyte of Ram... and I'm using the Sound set Gold lite now and the result is excelent, I can charge a full orchestra and the Task manager Windows shows about 700-800 Mbyte of RAM used Now my small system is working fine !!

Hello Jonathan, I cannot use Kontakt on my laptop because of low RAM , 1 Giga, I have no problem at all with Kompakt, because I can use DFD option.I can use 4 instances of Kompakt and load about 30 instruments with no problems !! Loading a small orchestra in Kontakt 2 take a lot of time at the start of Sibelius, and there are a lot of of note that are not played, and the system is very slow, and sometime crashes. My question : is it possible to use DFd option in Kontakt 2, like Kompakt, and optimize and reduce the comsumption of Ram ? Thanks

I'm sorry, I checked again everything : Kontakt is loading correctly the EWQL sounds ! But the sound quality is better with Kompakt, I don't know why.

Now I made everything and tried some orchestral pieces, but I'm not very happy with the sound: the sound quality is better with the original Kompakt version! When I use the sound files in Kontakt :1 ) the volume is very low, the sound look seem no the same quality of original sampler. At this point, I'm not very sure Kontakt is reading the EWQL sounds file, how can I check it ?

You are a good programmer for this things. Every thing OK now in my configuration, but play a digital orchestra in a expressive way need something more..... ! Sorry may be I go off-topic now but I want suggest you : What about a software to use the Wii as baton for conducting digital orchestra ? ( see : Fauxharmonic ! ) We need a software for control in realtime the musical tempo and the intensity of a sequence. There's a soft called Glove Pie, but we need an application who can read the hand movements of the Wii and translate in Midi information, in a musical way. Bye.

May be it's possible use 1 staff and change the name of the percussion instrument at any bar ... (?) This is common in some symphonic scores. What's the better way to use the Kontakt sound set with others VST, for example Kontakt2 + Pianoteq + Synful Orchestra ... ??? I want to use Vienna Special edition too, how can I use it ? is possible to import the sounds in Kontakt2 ?? Thanks.

In my computer everything seems to work O.K if I put the file .xml and .lib in the Programs directory ! But when I restart Sibelius and it try to restore the playback configuration, ( very long time!) sometime it crashes. If I delete all the playback configurationi in Application data I can restart Sibelius easily. I think this should be because of my system is only a Centrino 1.6 qith 1 Giga Ram...(?) ) Please, I'd like to use only 1 staff for the percussion, and put snare, cymbal, ecc . together, how can I do it ??
