  1. Hi guys, I'm in the process of researching Masters programs for Music composition for Film. So far, I am impressed by the one at Columbia College in Chicago. They mention that they're 1 of 2 programs like theirs and I haven't found the name of the other school that compares to Columbia College. I'm hoping to stay in Chicago but may consider NY as well. I was wondering if there were any graduates from Columbia here or any graduates at all that care to praise their alma mater?
  2. I got a response that led me to this link on how to map unpitched percussion: Unpitched percussion tutorial for Sibelius 5 on Vimeo
  3. I selected the Sogo drum sound in Sibelius. It loaded up the Ewe drum sound from my Sibelius Sound Essentials library in my Kontakt player2. Sibelius only plays 2 sounds from the Ewe Drum set. But when I look at the keyboard in the Kontakt player, clearly there are more sounds available. In fact, there are 14 sounds total that I could use. But I could not step record these sounds onto my score. So I blew off the dust off my MIDI keyboard and connected to sibelius. I was able to play only 2 notes. However, one of these were different. In fact Sibelius notated the input with an X-stick notehead. I rarely step record drums into Sibelius. I'd rather have it done live. So my problem gives rise to 2 questions. First, how do I access all sounds when step-recording percussion. Secondly, how do I step-record the X-Stick notehead since it's clear that Sibelius would play a different note for it.
