  1. It's possible. It's easy. What would be even easier is to play the whole song from a CD. What I'm saying is, poeple come out to see the magic of people creating music on the spot. Live and alive, so to speak. With every prerecorded bit in the song some of that magic dissapears. I'm a bass player, and there's little as inspiring as a drummer hitting it hard and having a good time. Keep on looking. Because watching somebody fiddling around with a laptop is reserved for a commuter train.

    This is a piece I wrote for the Rosa Ensemble (www.rosaensemble.nl). They decided (with my consent) to skip the last two bars, because they felt it destroyed the the idea of the piece. You can listen to an mp3 demo version on www.studioboeke.nl/004 under MUSIC. It's a small study in different signatures but in the same tempo, and therefore once in a while joining up. It's quite mathematically actually, and I wonder if it's still nice to listen to if you don't know the concept behind it. Please comment, thanks! Hinkele scores Bauke Score.pdf
