Violin Concerto in Dmin, no1, 1st mvt - !now piano
hi. sorry to spoil you're fun. but... where's the oopmph? or whatever it is. the first theme is fine but gets repeated to often. the wierd bit where you turn into nearly every key possible is just... well... wierd. hated the fact that the first vioin plays lots of the right hand piano part. was the left hand the double bass? if so it was a really boring part. a concerto is supposed to show off the instrument. i felt you under achieved. turn it back to the violin and re-work the parts. have a nice day

Piano Sonata Am, no 1 - Andante - Allegro - Adagio
hi, i only had time to listen to movement one and have to say i love it. the melody was sad with hints of happy past, so beautiful. anyway. i'm sorry to say i didn't like the opening. there wasn't enough a minor stuff to start a key going, the g sharp, although correct sounded very odd. bar five onwards was better, only the first four were the real problem. i really liked when the first theme came in, with the accel. though, we need an A. Tempo marking or we'll get faster for ever! bar fortyfive, the staccato stuck out like a sore thumb. i wouldn't have notated it like that. perhaps a quaver and then a quaver rest? i know what you wanted to acheive but i feel that in live performance it may be taken the wrong way. i would have really loved to see a change in the left hand accompaniment, i did it for 69 bars! did the second subject start at 33? cause it should have been in the dominant. bar 132 felt a lot like beethoven's development section in his pathetique sonata but i felt it beared no relevence to the original theme, and i don't think it really fitted. the recapitulation was lovely, but would have liked a diferent accompaniment. the ending i felt was rushed and had, again, no relevence, that semi-quaver semi-tone think, although drmatic, just doesn't work, save it for another piece. wonderful work. just needs some tweeking.

Modern Fantasia In C Major
hi, really didn't like it, sorry. it still felt really imature for me. some sections worked well, oh and i couldn't see any polyphonic texture. some sections didn't, i didn't like the sections where it looked like you had copied and pasted the bars to make them look exactly the same in each clef, which at first i thought was clever, but, it doesn't work. the whole section in one hand, was dull. don't mean to be harsh but it was. the harmonies, other than those decribed above were basic and predictable. perhaps you could try making it a bit more difficult? i liked the opening. with that two/four bar, couldn't you make itfour staccato crochets in a four/four bar, could act like a written out ritardando. some great promise.

3rd movement piano concerto
wow, its like yiruma does piano concerto! sorry but i didn't like the new theme at 2;13 (about there) felt it was corny and didn't fit. and when it came back at 3;36 loved the interaction between the piano and the orchestra. it had grace, movement and motion, all of which i admire. i wasnt so inspired by the orchestral intro. the ending i felt was a bit of a let down, you had this wonderful build up, with those repeated chords and then nothing, i wanted that final push. but, good though.

The monkey and the piano - for 4 hands
hi, when i looked at you're score it was called something different and was by two people? what is this? i liked it at first but after a while became easily bored, which ould have been sorted with some dynamics! that;s all i have to say.

Impromptu No. 3 in B-flat Minor, "Dissociation"
hi, wow, i loved the direction and movement in this piece and can completely see how it related to the stuff that you talked about at the top. it was sad, and melacollly, dramatic and difficult (i don't mean physically, i mean the emotion). loved the idea of the recurring themes. the ending was sublime, i just question the use of that run in bar 90 (?) (you know the one!), i felt that it was unnecessary and up untill then beautiful, just beautiful.

It Pulls Me Down And Then I Leave
hi, i'm sorry but i really didn't like the style of this piece. i felt that this had no structure, or motion, i felt that there was no real build up. i also think that the trill is unnecessary and that the piece was bootom heany, with way too much of a bass part. but that's my opinion. some people may love it.

"Duende" for 2 Pianos
hi, love the style. i felt that it, with some adaptation could probably be a solo piano piece. i didn't like that the pianos only ever played with one hand, unless you intended for their part to be played with two hand and if so i would mark it accordingly. fingering markings would be very useful for a future player. i felt the end was a bit rushed. loved all of the harmony ideas. yeah... great

A Walk through the Park
hi, loved the ending with that natural f, beautiful. in my opinion, which may not mean anything to you, i would not have put the opening chords in the LH so far down, i feel that if you moved them up an octave you would get a more simplisitc and natural feel, i felt that the lower chords took my attention away from the melody, which was nice but a bit repetative. loved the secong section, the lower chords definatly work there! i felt it needed to be develped, you could have a great time finding variatons on that! also, i suggest working on the transition back to the original theme, i was a bit rushed again i loved the ending.

Piano Concerto no. 1
hi, i only had enough time to listen to the first movement and look at the scorr (btw is it supposed to be just for violins 1 2, 3 fltues a cello and piano,m or was my computer playing up again?) i loved it, but i'm new here and i don't wish to be rude however i felt that it didn't really have much momentum or direction, that's my only real fault other than i felt like it was going to end all of the time. i thought that the piano part could have been a bit ,more impressive too this is just my opinion, and i loved the emotion and the textures

Overture C Major
hi, this is great i really loved ti, just out of interset, what is this an overture for? i loved it all especially the harpsichord part. however i know that harpsichord cannot sustuin notes for very long but it would hve been nice to give it something at the end. an a right hand part would have been nice. you could have used it to add to the trill in the first violins the bar before the end. also i wouldn't have given the harpsichord the same s the bass, i though it ws a bit of a cop out. i loved the cannon part (bar 28?) and i loved how it recurred later on. it was great how the viola part had a part to itself, many people just give it the harmony. the transitions between keys ere effortless! incredibly well done. it was subtle and precise, just what i want from a baroque piece. well done, a great effeort.

(3) String Orchestra pieces
hi, number 8, the only one i had enough time to listen to. i have no queries about the lenght, after all its your piece, just make sure that the content is exciting enough to keep the listeners concentration sustained. i strongly disagree with the use of repeats, as in repeat bar lines, that i thought was unnecessary, i agree aboput the large jumps between notes, just think about the instrument! the slides, when they came in were interesting, exciting and new! (something had to be!)but after a while became very, very boring! didn't mean to be rude but that's my opinion. lots of good ideas, just work on the execution.

WindTrio - first mood piece
hi, sorry, but i didn't like it. i found it too random, even sounded as though you clicked your mouse anywhere on the page! perhaps it wasn't that bad but i hope that you get my point. the second section, (was that another mood?) was better with the clarinet(?) solo. it was very high though, would have liked to see the score but my computer has had a fit. perhaps it makes some kind of clever visual sense, because for me it did nothing to the ear. hope you take this into account.

Clockwork

Adagio for string quartett on the theme B-A-C-H
so sad, well done, to be able to portray all of that stuff, the secog section i felt was rather melancolly which i liked, would have loved to see the score but the computer is playing up!
