The Obsession
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I agree on the title. I had thought about re-naming it.

Daniel B
I really enjoyed this piece! I always have a hard time writing for piano the most so to me it seems like the most difficult. I liked the whole thing and really only noticed one section towards the end that I didn't care for (I wish I could say where exactly) but overall, I really liked it ... and in one day of composition too!

Darkening
hones: This is really nice! This is one I would love to put on my Ipod! Great work!

"Caffeine Scherzo" for Violin and Piano
WOW! That was great! Sounds like Charlie Daniels playing classical! I always love the violin/piano duet and to hear them in such a fast paced peace is great!

Ballade 3
Awesome! I wish I could write for the piano in such a way!

The Last Survivor
Fantastic composition!

The Obsession
This is my first completed piece. I used Sibelius for the composition, EWQLSO for the sound samples and Pro Tools for the finishing touches. While I wanted to start a symphony, the sound of this piece ended up being more of a Soundtrack so I just stopped with this."The Obsession" The Obsession

Pro Tools 8
Hey all, Just curious if anyone has had any experience with Pro Tools 8 M-Powered software. I had just recently acquired an M-Audio Delta Audiophile 192 sound card and I have always loved using Sibelius software to write my music but I found it frustrating to use sequencers to input EWQLSO sounds into it. After trying the sound sets for Sibelius (which is awesome) there were still too many problems I would run into. After looking around the net, I ran into this Pro Tools 8 program that says it uses the Sibelius platform for music notation which would be perfect for me as I love notation and then using the sequencer to master the sounds. Just curious if anyone had any comments on the Pro Tools 8 M-powered software, either good or bad. Thanks! Thomas

EWQL and Sibelius help
Ooops, and by installer disc I mean the Play installer disc. Use the "custom" install option and just choose the VST 32 bit option.

EWQL and Sibelius help
To get EWQLSO to work in Sibelius you need to install the VST 32 bit plug in from your installer disc. Copy that VST 32 bit file to your Sibelius VST folder. It works well for me. As for Cubase and Sibelius I am afraid I can't help you there. I have always used a notation program to write a piece and then save the midi file and then open it up in the sequencer for mastering. Hope this helps! Thomas

Ballade 3
Great composition! Very Chopin in style ... made my fingers feel sore just listening to it. <img src="http://network.youngcomposers.com/elgg/ipb/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif" alt=":)" />
