  1. You need a part that has a different kind of beat... like a "breakdown section." You could have the melody section with another melody with long notes. Anyway, very fun.
  2. Hi jonslaughter. Nice canon. I like the breaks in the rhythm at the beginning-- it gives it a nonmetrical intro feeling; then you know the piece is has started when the constant rhythm of the next part begins. Why not challenge yourself by adding some key changes?
  3. I wrote this to practice developing a theme in the classical style. The form is similar to one of Bach's fugues in that the theme is heard and then followed by music with the theme or fragments of the theme playing throughout. Strings and Timpani No. 1 Link to the score!!!
