  9. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=544908&songID=7056501 i just added a harp part to a composition of same name by Lionel Power, renaissance composer, with several minor changes, mainly to the rhythm and key/pitch. anyway that changed completely the piece's character and sonority ;). i don't remember if i have already posted this one, but anyway i very much improved it recently thanks!

  15. THIS is a good way of making criticism :D thanks my friend!! at least one guy at YCF understands me :w00t:
  16. after 1500 posts i necessarily am well aware of the general rules of this forum, and after all i understood that tecnical advice is not what i am looking for. so, a score is perfectly unuseful. i am only interested about how my music impressed you in a general way. if i give you a score you will lose your time and mine pointing out parallel fifths, wrong inversions, bad cadences and so on, things that my music show plenty of exemples, because i don't follow traditional and strict rules of composition. i really don't care at all if i broke all rules of composition. my interest is to learn about its final effect. besides, the structure of a given piece does not need a score to be understood, and the feelings that the simple listening arise on you don't depend on written notes either. why then we don't deal with the basic essence of the musical experience - the act of listening - and talk after it? if a friend of yours asked you to share your impressions about a music you heard on the radio or tv what would you do? would you ask a score to the broadcasting agency? i don't think so. just do the same what you would along an informal chat with a friend. thanks
  17. if you can't rely on your ears, sensibility and intelligenge, a score won't help.
  18. something neo ars nova! :D chanson-cass3.mid

thanks a lot Euler!!! :D that is a pedal note, i'm not sure if that's the english name for it, though. anyway its function is to load the ending with pathos, it sustains a bit longer the 'great gesture' effect of that ending, it's just sort of a theatrical or rhetorical device. :P
  23. ps: i cant leave without praising the clarinet part. fantastic melodic line, wow!!
  24. wow, you composed a piece that is perfectly relaxed, calm and very engaging ! loved its subtleness and gentle atmosphere. you started with an impro but ended with a very coherent piece, because every element seems to be in its most logical and natural place. i have heard it many times, and every time it sounded super lovely!!!!!!! loved the harmony and instruments choices, very well balanced. the original piano part is quite interesting as well. so congrats to both musicians!!!:)
