FairyTale (MMORPG Theme)

Featured Replies

This is the first song I'm posting here.

I'm experimenting a little with my knowledge and instrument. This is a theme I came up with out of nowhere, but I wanted it to have a fairy like aura and feeling.

There are a few questions that I like to know.

1 - Is it fitting for a magic or fairy-ish game theme?

2 - Does it have a recognizeable melody, the kind that sticks in your memory, but doesn't make you think of ways to get rid of it. In other word a pleasant melody. :P

3 - Whatever you think of. Good parts or Bad parts.

Thank you for listening. ;)

I'm very interested in fairytale music. Unfortunately, due to technological barriers beyond my control I can only deal with midi files right now. :w00t:

So while I'd love to have a listen I'll have to pass.

Welcome to YC. This is great. While I am not a gamer, I try to write music for this genre (and others as well). This piece has a scottish flair to it that I like. I can see this being played with the bagpipe. The melody is easily seen, but not imbeded. Not that it matters much, but no one could ever play the part on the flute(?). Wind blowers need to take a breath from time to time. A score would also help for more comments from others.

Abracadabra, I can't make a midi of this, because my Finale isn't allowing me to export Midi files. I'm Sorry :(

rolifer, thank you for your comment. I've got to say I totally forgot about the part that wind blowers need to breath when playing. Whoops :(

Anyways I made a score. (normally I'm lazy and write songs down only when needed ... and ... um, I suck at writing music and notes :))

PS: I couldn't make the drum part on finale. I don't really know how to work with drum sets in finale.

I don't like your choice of percussion, to be honest. You should try some ethnic drums or whatever. Also, at 1:30 the violin comes in to suddenly, try fading it in there.

Other than those things, I really like it. You've captured the fairytale sound perfectly.:D
