Captivate

Here's another sample of how you can loop a video game piece. This is a doujin work written for a visual story game.

You see that when there are huge silences, the loop flows just perfectly. Another way to loop is starting your composition in piano dynamic and ending it in piano dynamic.

Written in Edirol Orchestral.

Here's a little sketch of the score:

When the song changes at :44, i'd take out the tambourine and replace it with a different instrument, or leave it out all together... just to make things less static. Other than that, this piece was really charming. Very reminiscent of many J-RPG composers. ;)

I would even delete the wind chimes, I think they are interrupting the feeling.

Yeah I agree with Guinness, definately reminds me of some classic J-RPG stuff. The piano part sounds lovely from 1:00 onwards, but I'm afraid I also have to agree with him on the percussion. Try maybe making the tambourine and woodblock lower in the mix, or just remove them.

Other than that, it's sounding very nice.

No, no, the wind chimes are great, at least when they first come in. They are kind of pointless the second time. The castanets are perfect for the second part, keep those too, please. :)
