Traurigkeit, Mvt. 2 of Violin Piece

Hey guys this is a bit of my second movement for a violin piece i'm composing currently. The title of the second movement is traurigkeit which is german for sorrow or full of sorrow. Its around two minutes and I'm looking to making it around 4 total. There are several themes that hint at the first movement (which you haven't heard) so they might not get developed so don't yell..plus it's incomplete right?! haha

I should also add that this started out as a project working around bitonalities aka two different triads layered over eachother. In the end some pretty colorful sonorities were had and this was born. Its mostly around c minor in the beginning but goes on an adventure to many different key areas later on.

I found the violin theme very moving and the introduction of a second idea a bit more than half way through was very effective. The mood of sadness is well portrayed. The harmony is complex but interesting.

There were a couple of places where I thought the piano part in the first section was just a little too loud and abrupt but overall a fine composition. Very well done.

Part of the piano being loud is with the mixing but I do agree it might have been heavily scored in some areas, thanks for your comments

I really liked the melody of the piece...all I can say is that I wish I could write piano parts like you!;)

Also, I play violin and this sounds like a very fun piece to play...pull the music out of the air and let it flow types.

Thanks! Yeah, I've actually been experimenting with the piano lately really trying to find what works and what doesn't. It's good to hear that I have approval of a violinist though, thank you.
