November 7, 200718 yr As many of you will have gathered, the site has been suffering from some performance issues as of late. This has ranged from minor sluggishness to almost complete inaccessibility. After I came online and found I couldn't connect to the site at all, I raised the issue with our host, who diagnosed the problem as being related to a networking issue at their end. By way of a remedy, we have now been moved to a completely different physical machine, and if initial impressions are anything to go by, there has been a dramatic performance increase as a result of this. Please post here if you experience any further difficulties with the speed at which pages load, because as far as we're concerned, the issue should no longer occur. Well, not until another few months down the line, at which point another gremlin will no doubt manifest itself. ;)
