November 28, 200718 yr Hello, So this is Movement I of a multi-movement piece entitled: A Boy at an Airshow. In this first piece 'The Sun Rises over the runway.' I wanted to convey both a sunrise and childhood innocence. There is still a few minor things to fix but for the most part its pretty much done. I hope you enjoy this piece. Best, Kyle :)

December 14, 200718 yr I like this peice! It has a great variety, and really takes me places. The only thing I want to say against this peice is- At the beginning, you have some runs in the flute and clarinet that really stick out. Later, they aren't that bad. May I suggest giving the runs at first to just either the flute or the clarinet? Good job!
December 15, 200718 yr I'm posting my analysis while I'm read this. Haven't posted here for ages. Anyway, here are my views. 0:30: The syncopated runs need to be reduced in volume, they stand out too much, and also take away from the unity in the piece. 0:50: I liked this idea, sort of increases the tension in the piece, and allows to build up. Maybe a bit more of a build up though. 1:30: Nice big orchestral sound, like it. 2:40: Some of the texture fades away, try to keep it a bit thicker, maybe a cello drone? Great job, interested in hearing the other movements.
