December 3, 200718 yr Hi, musical dumbass here. What do you call it when you turn the stem of a note upside down? (like when you're writing a bass part) And more importantly how do I do it on Sibelius 3? (I could probably figure how to do it if I only knew what they were loving called! :D) I have like a bass clef part, 3/4 time, and I want the first note to last the duration of the bar, and then the other two to just be crotchets. So I need to flip the longer note. But what is it called when you flip a note? Thanks. :)
December 3, 200718 yr I think I understand what you're talking about. You want multiple voices in a stave. Searching the docs for "voices" should give you the info you want.
December 3, 200718 yr Author Thanks man, I actually already knew of this, but I was hoping there was another way besides using this dumb colour-code stuff! Oh well... Thanks again mate ;)
December 4, 200718 yr uhhhhh... we try not to swear here :toothygrin:Unfortunately, not everybody is so proficient at just that, it's the 'trying' part that gets to most of us... :D
December 5, 200718 yr Author uhhhhh... we try not to swear here  You are afraid... of... WORDS?
December 5, 200718 yr You are afraid... of... WORDS? We also try to use proper English grammar and spelling. It's not so much that we're afraid, as it is that we're trying to keep the forums with a certain tone about them.
December 5, 200718 yr ... as it is that we're trying to keep the forums with a certain tone about them.I happening to be receiving a mental Eb3 from the forums at the moment, is that what you're talking about? :huh:It's just.... emanating... everywhere, I can't even begin to elude it....

December 5, 200718 yr No, my mind tells me Eb3. Besides, the forums here seem enharmonically challenged at times.
