December 11, 200718 yr Hello all I am new here and this is the first piece I am posting I hope you like it. Composing is a hobby of mine and I am eager for any criticism. My only musical background is taking piano for a year when I was 9-years-old, and so far I have been messing around with music for about a year and a half. This song I wrote around last March or April. I entitled it "sailing home" just because it seems like it has a "going home" feeling. I am just starting out so any help is useful! December 15, 200718 yr Welcome to YC This is a nice way to introduce yourself. The best way to get comments on your works is to listen and comment on others as well. Most of the guys here will return the favor. A few places in your piece has some distortion. this is usually because of the loudness of the recording. If you lower the voulume some you can get a cleaner recording. If you add in your post what programs you have used, the experts can help you with that. Read The reviewers and the rules found at the top of each section. The more info we have about your music, the better we can respond. The piece has a feeling of "going home", so it seems like an apt name for it. Again welcome to YC. Ron
