First Post: String Orchesta

First of all: Hello all, this is my first post. Yet far from my first composition.

I am looking for any (useful) type of feedback that anyone can give. Especially concerning the transitions between sections.

Even though this is not my first piece i am still fairly new and have yet to accuratly use (that i am aware of) any formal forms to my music.

Sorry if these thoughts seem to run together and are disorganized, I want to make comments but I am making them as I am listening to the piece...

Could you please explain your chord structure? I cannot seem to follow it. Although, it sounds reasonably nice. You tend to have some passing dissonant harmonies that I believe could be avoided. I guess this comes along with your very melodic and horizontal writing style. At measure 34, you don't seem to do that key change very well, look at that. At the section starting at measure 41, what was the purpose of the bass instruments to play that in that notation, why not simply use a grace note?

Your transitions in general seem to need work. You need to work out HOW to change through sections without just stopping and moving on. THAT isn't very interesting. Very nice, at measure 66, cool little diddie. You repeat the main theme A LOT without variation. Sometimes, that makes people lose interest, although I like it, it won't always work. You have to figure out how to restate the theme without making it seem redundant and a place holder for something more interesting.
