January 2, 200818 yr Can't thank you enough for that link! I recently had a master class with Corigliano. Nice enough guy, but I find his pieces lack a sort of cohesive factor. It's great that he thinks modern music needs to invent new forms to get away from things like sonata allegro or rondo, but I don't think that pieces like his "Cicus Maximus" are the way to do it.
