A short piano piece

Hello everyone!

This is a short piano piece, Ripples of Reflection, that I just recently finished. Now I want to change the instrumentation and expand the melody in some parts. I don't really know how to go about doing this, though. I am new at composing so lots of criticism and advice will be appreciated!

I like this. Ripples and Reflection...works nicely.

One thing I might suggest is the idea of "reflection". Maybe try mirroring the melody. Assuming you havn't already, I may have missed it! The left hand gets a tad repetitive at times - 1:38 for example. Make sure you think about each and every note, and don't be afraid to use more chords, alot of the time the left hand is one note and it feels empty in places.

Thanks so much! Actually the "reflection" in the title referred to someone reflecting on their past and not really like a mirror. I thought that was an interesting idea though, to incorporate mirroring the melody, so I'm working on it.
