I suppose so. I should really have listened to more reggaeton before posting that, because it seems that a LOT of reggaeton music sounds almost exactly the same. :P

It's still a great track though, as evidenced by the fact that I can't distinguish it from commercial stuff.

I just thought I'd follow up on my comments on the mix. While they still stand as what I personally feel, the mix choices you've made are actually consistent with the (admittedly few) other Reggaeton songs I've heard since. I guess that, from my perspective, the whole genre is mixed wrong!

I think it should have more a baseline, but hey, I'm only 17 and I listen to WAY too much Steely Dan & Sade.

But yeah, that was awesome. Awesome groove (I don't think I've ever given that compliment), it's mixed really well. And while I'm not a big fan of that genre in particular, I'm liking it more and more.

Nice vocals, too. I wish I could sing...

Hey, this piece is awesome!

My brother introduced me to Reggaeton after he went ot Spain and I have to say its a lot better then the majority of the drivel he listens to.

I thik the piece is well mixed but perhps with a better trumpet synth could sound more polished. The beats are instantly catchy and the lyrics sound professional.

It's really amazing that this thread as over 1,000 views in such a short period of time. I compare it to Robin's wonderful jazz piece. His piece is infinitely better yet it took over 2 years to get to his over 1,600 views.

I think the main cause for this is the increase of more modern-ish people on the forum. For this, I pay tribute to my hero Robin, without him, this subforum would not be where it is today.
