I can't seem to figure out how to notate a minor trill as I cannot add an accidental to the trill and I see no option to modify the trill.

in articulations, create a new articulation, use the Engraver extras font, the various options for trill with flat, sharp and natural, are all there (in the 50-60 range I think)

I created a new default document with all those trills added in, then saved as template, and replaced my maestro font default.FTM file.

this way I dont have to recreate those trills everytime I need them in a score.

the easiest way to do this is to open your Windows explorer, go to the directory where you isntalled Finale, then the Component Files directory, click on the file called Maestro Font Default.FTM, make a copy of it as a safety net to flal back on if you want.

once that's done, double click on that file, it will open a blank document in Finale.

create your articulations, set up your Note Expressions (I like to place them in ascending order, for example), adjust the volume you want the mixer to be at by default... make all teh little changes you'd like to the file.

Then, just "Save As", select "Finale Template file", and use the name "Maestro Font Default.FTM".

Now, whenever you open Finale, you will have your settings as the default, no need to create new ones with every new file.
