Clarinet Quartet

Featured Replies

Ok, so, Its mostly to feature the Eb, and Bb Clarinet players. (Me on Eb, my section leader on Bb).

So... Opinions?

More Info:

No dynamics because I would like to discuss them with the other players of the piece first.

Hardly any Articulations... because I'm content with how it will be played.

Score could possibly be in C because... I forgot the change it back.

And.... it could possibly be played by strings right now...because I was kinda bored... uh... let me fix that... uh... FIX'd.

Clarinet Quartet (revised).MUS

An unfinished score with no dynamics, no articulations and no tempo changes gives a playback lacking musicality. The piece has some good moments but would benefit from more rhythmic variety and a stronger bass line.

It isn't clear for what level of difficulty this is intended - the lower parts are mostly very simple and would be uninteresting for strong players. If the idea is that the bottom two parts accompany the upper two, which are featured, then perhaps replacing them with a piano part would make sense.

The bottom two parts are for... people who are not very capable at playing more than eighth notes. The Alto Clarinet part is a bit more to the harder... but not much.

I really wanted to hear it played by real people before I added anything like that.

The song was sorta boring, as euler said you need some dynamics and articulations, the son was very boring but for the melody at measure 49 the Eb clarinet I think should play a concert C instead of Bb.
