Finally! Masterful Bachian counterpoint, excellence in Late Baroque. Similar to Bach.

Ok,This must be a JOKE! Nobody has an ego like that for a one minute and an other 33 seconds long piece of music that have little to do with baroque nor Bach. Not to mention they are both absolutely mediocre. They have an unmistakably middle eastern/ balcanian sound anyway. I believe Baroquefan is a phantom who spreads his sarcasm all over the fault-finder, narrow minded people here, so called "experts of baroque composition". In this case , I applaud to Baroquefan, because this is a very subtle and clever way to provoke that kind of reaction but at the same time I don't really understand the point in it. I mean it's funny to compose a piece that has nothing to do with baroque than brag about it, compare yourself to bach and wait for the others to start putting effort to prove why you are wrong... It is an interesting kind of sarcasm which, in this case, i can even relate to, but I don't think people will bother that much to tell you off. People have better things to do, I guess.

However, If I'm wrong and you are truly a serious person, then:

What the f*ck is wrong with you, man??? :)

I have to admit that it is, in my opinion, extremely disheartening to see the lacklustre plebian lot's opinions.

My companions at Wox Sacrilege, which is an underground organization consisting of me and my Neobaroque colleagues, have bestowed great praise upon my works and said that they equal those of Bach.

Of course, I did not expect any one here to be able to appreciate Baroque Art.

However, I have decided to share with you all, for free, my newest Composition. It is a Gavotte in Italian style - but with rich, dense and intelligent German Counterpoint.

Click here to download my Italian Gavotte with German Counterpoint.

I can definitely hear the German and Italian influence! :P

And I'm no Plebeian either! I'm a Patrician if there ever was one. And I know my German / Italian fusion music - you all are just a bunch of trolls. This guy has got it down.

Clearly you and your friends at Wox Sacrilege or what ever that hell it is have never actually listened to, let alone studied Bach.

If you don't expect anyone here to understand and appreciate your apparent "Bach-like"(I use that term loosely) music then why post it?

If you keep up this charade no one is ever going to listen to your music. I'm sure many of the others here will agree when I say that you have already started getting a bad reputation, why don't you try and fix that...you can start by loosing the attitude

Lex.

sigh

IT'S A JOKE!!!

I find this statement hateful, and I take personal offense from it.

I see none of the other members here being harrassed in this fashion.

If you do not like baroque Art, no need to call it a "joke"? Simply abstain from reading the thread.

My, my, You are a persistent one...

:D, I am sorry. I just can't keep a straight face when I see the word plebian...

Geographically, I think you missed the european vibe by a few thousand miles... (to the east that is).

As Baroque, I don't think they are well done. As a piece of music, I commend you. As, "middle eastern grooves" I say Good Show!

At least your confident... at least...

P.S. There is a thing called a thesaurous (I apologize: in my Plebian nature, I spelt it wrong)

You also spelled "spelled" wrong. Spelt is not a word, I guess next you're going to say "Irregardless"

If you'd played this more subtly, you probably could have pulled an Andy Kauffman and pissed off people for a lot longer. As it is, it's just over-the-top enough not to be believable. Well done. :P

Spelt is not a word...

Spelt actually is a word...its a type of wheat mainly grown in europe...admittedly it has nothing to do with spelling, but it is still a word.

It's perfect. I cannot tell the difference.

No, but seriously. This is hillarious! The festival music made me keel over. You've identified at a stroke the most annoying trait of the most annoying breed of revivalist composer; those who compose totally malapropos music, and then spontaneously combust with rage if anyone claims their music to be even slightly flawed. Honestly, I actually rather like the music, but it's obviously composed to be intentionally humourous. I mean, look at the title of the thread.

Heh. I know other users found this thread to be unamusing, but it's made me laugh. I think it's particularly interesting to note:

a) That nobody seems to have agreed that the music sounded anything like Bach (whereas they have for a fair few other 'baroquefanatic' clones)

b) That this thread has immediately become the most popular in its category.

First off. Your Gavotte, CERTAINLY SOUNDED LIKE MIDDLE EASTERN. Not at all european. Tell me, which baroque piece ends without a perfect, or even plagal cadence?

Your attitude is horrendous. I bluntly suggest that:

1)You change your music, rewrite everything

2)Just change your name, you ain't Bach AT ALL.

3)Just, in all change your attitude.

Spelt actually is a word...its a type of wheat mainly grown in europe...admittedly it has nothing to do with spelling, but it is still a word.

To my knowledge "spelt" is the proper, original, British spelling of "spelled". Of course it is kind of weird when used in the same sentence as the american spelling "apologize". Not that I ever spelt (sic!) even one English sentence correctly myself though...

Oh, and just for the sake of being different:

Wow! I'm completely stunned by this piece! It's the best Baroque-style composition I've ever heard. But to be honest, there's something dubious about it. It's just a little too good, to have been written by a young composer in the 21st century. I have a faint suspicion that this is in fact a previously unknown piece by Bach that you found somewhere by chance and are now trying to pass off as yours. No offence, but I just don't believe such an absolutely outstanding piece could have been written by anyone less than Bach himself. If I'm wrong, I apologize.

OK, clearly our friend Baroquefanatic is more fanatic about trolling than Baroque revivalism. I'm going to close this thread so attention can be diverted to any one of the legitimate musical submissions floating around.
