Seems like you are trying to emulate Pirates of the Caribbean Music. I would try to avoid it becoming sheer imitation. I would suggest chords right now, but i have to run to school. Why not try playing it on the piano and trying out different chords and seeing what you like?

What is the assignment/brief? Is it just to harmonize that melody? Can you provide more information?
