Sad dreamy song

Hi! I believe this is my best song for piano. I'm waiting for comments and critics. :)

Indeed - sad sounding piece.

With regards to the piece, I'd leave whats there as it is. It works well, and adding anything to it would mean youd lose the thin texture you have with it.

What I'd suggest is extending the piece.

Just before it reached the end, it sounded like it was moving into a new section, which then didnt have time to develop.

Can you explain that please? I mean that "thin harmony" :) I just don't get it. Do you mean I use like few kinds of chords or is it that the whole texture of the piece is thin? 'Coz the texture is deliberately like that, about harmonies and chords... I gotta learn to use more I guess.

I know the rhythm really sounds monotonous :) but that IS the MIDI talking coz when I play it on a piano it's completely different.

Thx! That was deliberate :) I think it gives kind of a good effect. Anyway, I will write others with full chords. BTW, Nico, I'd appreciate if you lsn to my other work in 'chamber music' (song for flute&harp) and give your opinion of that too. Thanks... :)

The piece accomplishes its goal. I think that you have the dreamy feeling... Thin harmonies? I'll say only this: judging from a classical stand point, these harmonies may be thin. But that shouldn't matter to you, because I don't think you are trying to write "galant" style classical music.

Therefore, I am not judging it based on the galant tradition, so I'll tell you that it is a good piece that does what good art should do: accomplish what it sets out to do. Cheers.

I like the melody, and agree it does sound thin in some parts. My suggestion would be to add an additional bass tone, on some of the chords to thicken it up just a bit. You don't wanna over do it, because this piece is already good, and adding too much I believe would hurt it more then help. I do like your choice of arpeggios though. They produce a very pleasing melancholy vibe.
