Aftermath

Featured Replies

Hey!

I am uploading a setting of "Aftermath," by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow that I did for a Competition. The theme was supposed to be about Autumn or Harvest or the like. I'm hoping maybe it will be ok.

As always, comments are appreciated.

Thanks

I like it. It's very melancholic and matches with the text...!!!

Thank you, I enjoyed listening!!!

I agree. The music matches the text.

I especially like m. 36-47 with all the chaotic dissonances, good stuff. It's probably just the midi or mostly the midi's fault, but occasionally when you go from unisons (or octaves) to more complicated chords it's a bit jarring, perhaps start with a fifth or a third or go from octave to fifth to the next chord
