Dreaming in the Sky

The opening theme is simple and unaccompanied. After the theme is done, it repeats itself, now with left hand bass arpeggios and a sixth underneath to harmonize the melody. Two new themes are introduced, then the original theme is repeated with rythymic variation, and finally in a whole tone scale. From there, the piece declines into a closing.

I hope you enjoy. This was a quick write for me, and I hope it does not hinder it's quality.

Very nice. I love impressionism, and this piece doesen't put the art to shame! What deligthfull flying melodies and subtle arpeggios I hear (hence the title?:)), truly wonderfull. :) This isn't to say the piece is flawless, not far from it though! The flaw being for the most part that it is too short, please expand on it.

I love Impressionism too, and I wish to learn to write music like that someday! I like your use of the whole tone scale, and I think it really is like "dreaming in the sky".

Look at debussy's arabesque... particularly what he does with the triplets...

Try to create a richer texture.
