Piece for flute and piano (last time I swear)

Featured Replies

So, after taking a couple of suggestions this is how it turned out. (the piece is still a little all over the place but, it's supposed to be a transformation from beginning to end). For some reason, Sibelius didn't wanna cooperate so I didin't upload the score.

thanks

One thing I would consider is giving the flute some more obvious places to breathe. The music never has any point of rest really. Also, it is difficult to pick out main thematic material. This makes the piece difficult to understand as a whole. The ending material is great..cool piano part, nice lines, everything sounds great in this ending.

I've put small rests though, otherwise even the MIDI player would've passed out by the thrid page. But I guess it's not enough(?) I dont know I don't play the flute... ok. I'll think about that. :)

It is not so much that they can not play it as written, they can. However, the piece itself needs some places of rest to my ears...it is always moving, which is ok, but the listener doesn't get a clear sense of where the piece is going. jmo
