Lost & found

Featured Replies

hi everybody i'm new to the community and the forum here and this is one of the pieces that i've been working on for about 2 weeks, it's called "lost and found", and it's about the brutality of life and how it manipulates us during our journey of seeking rest and peace, to create this piece i watched lots of old paintings of hell itself made by 18th century artists, read about the story of Adam and Eve mentioned in Quraan.

as for the technique i used lots of indian percussions and orchestral hits to give it the aggressive sensation.

your experience may differ thou, that's what took me to create it but i guess it fits for other plots, so i hope that u enjoy it and of course i'm always interested to hear ur analysis and feedbacks " u know i'm open minded ;)"

i'd love to hear all your critics and suggestions on this particular thread

Nice rhythmns in the percussion, it's all very catchy. I love the blend of ethnic, orchestra and electronic instruments. The male choir was a nice touch. :)

However, the Zourna gets kind of annoying after a while. I'm talking about the bit it plays at the beginning till about 1:20. I'd either vary it somehow, or cut back on the number of times it plays.

The part that starts at around 3:10 is very calming and relaxing. This is the peace that we've been seeking, which was stated in your commentary. Love that you chose to add it. ;)

I really liked the little passage at the very end, which appeared earlier in the piece. It's as if to say, "Hey, it's not over yet." Very powerful message.

Great use of story-telling through music. Well worth the listen! I really enjoyed all of it. :D

thanks for your contribution Tol Alexander, and yeah this particular track took a while until somebody commented about it more than the other 2 tracks i added earlier, although it was my first track to be shared with the community here lol.

looking forward to hearing about your work, and of course i'd love your critics over the rest of my pieces shared here in the forum
