"Space" For Brass Quintet Op.105

I wrote this piece with the idea of drifting thru space, this piece is short but os broke off into three parts.

1.Slow drifting with a never ending change of surrondings

2.You are accidentally caught by a comet sailing gracefully thru the dark sky then hurled thru an asteroid field.

3. you find yourself back into the beggining , but as it ends there is a beacon of hope.

Very very nice piece! I liked the way you wrote for the brass, very dreamlike and suited the "space" feel. I also liked the harmonic movement, especially with the semitone stuff at the end of phrases. A very enjoyable listen!

There's a few notational issues. The middle section shouldn't be in A major. Make it in A minor and write in all the C-sharps. There will be less accidentals that way and the trumnpets won't kill you.

the piece is quite interesting for the clarity of melodic lines.

But lack of points of tension

that attract the listener
