Potential for opening-credits in a TV series?

I made this one year ago or so. Just thought it would be nice to share it and get some feedback.

It feels like its missing an "A" section (either that or the introduction takes too long to get to the melody). Also, the melody is perhaps too complicated (ie: not quickly memorable enough). The listener should immediately have a sense for the theme and be able to recognize it when its repeated anywhere else in the show. If you play this for your friends, can they whistle or hum the theme back after one listen? Your goal should be that they can.

Other than that small issue, I'm impressed. The piece sounds good, you're just missing some of the sections that make the piece a little more exciting, just so the piece doesn't sound as drawn out (im sorry if that sounded crude.)

I agree that it's not memorable enough for opening credits music. Those rhythms at the start are also a tad inaccessible.

I noticed a lot of alternation between just two chords, leading to a "stuck in the mud" type of feel. A more flowing harmonic approach that takes the listener on a journey of some sort might work better.

Having said that, the underpinning structural idea of moving from minor to major works well for this kind of genre. ER theme, anyone? :whistling:

Well, this is my first post back in a music section in quite a while with various idds and ends making it difficult to listen/create music, but am back now and working again.

Openeing credits music for a TV series? Not quite, as it doesn't have that hook. Mike already pointed out the alternation between two chords, and I think this is part of the hindrance that keeps it from being suited to opening credits. I also think the intro is too powerful in comparison to the rest of the piece, and in fact I personally think it could go completely.

By making the first chord of the main part a little more powerful, that would serve sufficiently as an introduction in itself and that would then fit in better with the rest of the piece. From that point (approx. 25 seconds in) onwards, I think it's a pretty great piece and whilst I think the use of more chords could help it, I do enjoy what you've done with the alternation between just two.
