"Ground"

Hey all!

Here's my very latest result of experimenting of different kind of styles. It's titled "Ground" and it's a scary and suspenseful ambient which I'm going to offer for film music supervisors.

You've set an atmosphere really well with this piece.

I don't really have any criticisms to offer, since there's very little I know about composing this type of music.

All that I can think to suggest is that you, perhaps, expand this into a larger work. It seems to have direction, but then the conclusion doesn't release all that built-up tension like I hoped it would. So I think expanding it and leading it to some kind of definite climax would work really well.

That said, don't go changing the piece just on my recommendation. Just think about where else you can take it, that's all!

Also, that suggestion really is just for the piece by itself. As a piece that sits in a movie, it's fine.

I take your suggestion under consideration, it's a good idea. I could actually compose an extended version out of this :)

I agree with the above, the atmosphere is set dramatically in this piece, almost like falling into a deep dark hole and landing underground in a cave-like city or something. Just kind of a dark sceney place where societal rejects retreat to form homes and whatnot. Anyways, I really like it. I do feel this could be expanded on as well.
