edit: I cant upload the mp3 for now, so ill add the midi/finale

I think it's good and will sound much better with real instruments. I'm sure the other movements will be good as well. It did sound a bit random in the beginning, but it all came together at the end, so it was fine. I'm interested though, how exactly are you playing the slides on the flute? (I'm assuming you've already recorded this since you have an mp3 ready.)

Thanks, the mp3 is just garritan..most of the "slides" are just falls, intended to make the note go as flat as possible..I know some of the places it is impossible to bend pitch as far as Ive written, so it would be played by changing the pitch as far as possible, then playing the next note normally..

ok. i find this piece of music rather lovely but.. you should mention the guitar tuning in the score. aaaand hmm... the whole thing after the m.59 sounded something like " sweet home, alabama" .. any influence there? as soon as i heard that part ( the rhythm, especially) it just got me there.

and i think the guitar should be played with a pick, right? i found it difficult to play that with the fingers...

overall, it's nice, yes.

The guitar tuning is shown in the score..do you mean that I should elaborate on it?...funny i didnt really see the "sweet home alabama" thing..kinda funny that you would associate the piece with that..but oh well haha..the piece is played with a pick..yes..Since it seems you are a guitar player, did you have trouble reading the music with it in an alternate tuning? I was considering putting chord diagrams in the score to make it a little bit more simple.

just as a thought, you might want to notate the guitar harmonics. Interesting way of showing the guitar tuning...Open C tuning? Also, you should probably specify electric guitar if that's what you want. With the flutter tonguing, instead of saying "no flutter", I would give the notes affected tremolo lines, or a line above to show for how long. I think the chord diagrams might help- i normally put tab with a song in a big alternative tuning.

what do you mean to notate them? how else would you notate them other than w/ diamond note heads and actually writing open harmonics as I have? do you mean in a tab or something? or would you write something else? yes, it is an open c tuning. thanks for your comments

i mean like with a fret and string number to avoid confusion. Other than that, it is a nice piece of music!
