heh...

On the risk of being rude and blunt...

Well, I started listening to it but stopped, not even half the way. What can I say, it lacks structure and is monotonous both in melody and in accompagnment. It still needs a whole amount of work.... .

Kind regards

Hi Beet,

dont you think, that hear not even half and than say about whole piece - at least bit not correct?

But thanks for your comment. I will try to improve.

Sincerely,

van.

I can't open the file... I think many more people would care to listen to your piece if you had a MIDI/mp3 file and a score. Welcome to YC!!! :yc:

Edgar

EDIT: Ooh! You're in Prague! I love Prague!!! :w00t:

It still doesn't- sorry. But when I said an MIDI/mp3 and a score (preferably PDF), I meant that if you scroll down while writing a post or thread (if it's a thread you have to click on the "Go Advanced" button) then you should see something that says "Manage Attachments". Click on it and you can upload the MIDI/mp3/PDF files from your computer and it will appear under attachments in your post or thread like so (I'm using a piece of mine as an example):

Gefunden.pdf

Gefunden.mid

i disagree.

i think its quite nice. it lacks form, but its really nice to listen to. and i dont think "monotonous" is the right word to describe it.

i like it, good job. :D

@chodelkovzart

As one can see ... de coloribus et gustibus non disputandum est ... There is no discussion possible when colors and taste come into it. It all depends what you call good music ...

@ van hagen

No, I do not think that I have to sit out a whole piece to be able to appreciate it or not. My attention is caught from the beginning; when this is not the case I am willing to continue listen because to see how it develops. When after a while I keep having the same feeling, I turn away... Logical no? Thus you may conclude that your piece did not appeal to me... but you asked for a comment and I gave you one.

Thanks for comment, chodelkovzart.

Beethoven guy, thanks for your explanation. I can only agree: for colors and taste the friendship - waste (our proverb).

Once again, thanks for comments.

sorry, Edgar... I cant attach my piece now like you advice - valid file extensions do not include wma. I know that sometimes badongo can not be open by Explorer, but can with Firefox.

(I had pleasure hear your music, btw).

thanks once again.

Hi backupproducer,

thanks for your comment. Shortly before I had played this piece, and I think I have some ideas for prolongation. I will upload this ideas soon.

once again, thank you (and special thanks for your "Sunday" - I add your clip at top of my favorite music on my facebook page - this is beutiful music!)

sincerely,

van.

van Hagen! Cheers!

I truly enjoy your Silveria. Try to make it at least 3 min long (maybe). It's still short (that's probably ok) for my own taste... Good job!

Thanks for the Sunday. Really.

P.S. I hate .wma format, and quality is really poor 96 k bits/s. Should be at least 128 (preferably 256).

Later,

Miljan

Hi Miljan!

I will make "Silveria" longer - just last evening I got some more pieces for this. will be nice, hope you will like it too. thanks.

and yes - computer files is not correct method for playing the music: playing must be "live"! only so can feel real surfing in sounds...

sincerely,

Filipp

I heard this so many times and that's totally fine. Just record it in better quality, or maybe when you convert it you loose quality. That's what I sad.

P.S. From Montenegro Filip. Even though, I understood (almost) what you sad.

Pozdrav,

This sounds like it'd be a piece from the movie Amelie. It's a French movie; I think you'd be curious to at least check out the soundtrack. I am sure it's here and there on Youtube, just search for it.

Your "Silveria" is a very enjoyable piece. It stays in character (both written music and the performance) and I can feel a little bit of a flow in it, which is needed for this type of soft, almost BGM.

I feel, though, you can add some more interesting chords in this; maybe the way you can spell them could be differently? The piano's possibilities are endless, and compositional are even more endless. I wish to hear what you have now!

Thanks Mazeppa,

it is very interesting, but really many people said it is like soundtrack from some old french film :-)...

yes, I know, I can make this piece more interesting - now I have to complite some new ideas for this piece. soon I will show what I have.

thanks once again.

van Hagen.

btw, what is BGM?

I really like the flow of it musically but (this is a personal opinion, you're probably trying for a different sound) add a greater dynamic range to the piece and put some power into some of the repetitions and follow mazeppa's advice and add more chord variety and possibly build from the small quiet intro into something more "heavily" written
