January 31, 200917 yr I made a composition which I like very much, combining classical orchestral music with rock, ethnic and progressive. I hope you will like it. I want to hear critics, however good or bad, but I want oppinions. The song is named Frozen Theatre and it is posted on my Myspace URL. It is the only song in the player for now, and I made it with the band Electric Fence. I will post more, but I want oppinions about this one first. February 2, 200917 yr I get quite an "Evanescence" feel to it (at the beginning). her voice is pretty good! I like the opera too. I like your work, its pretty interesting since it doesnt sound like a lot of the other things I hear on this forum. Nice work on this piece. very energetic!
February 3, 200917 yr magma + nightwish - metal I would have made the rhythms be more complementing in the 5:10 area.. the rhythm in the drums could be much better reinforced with something... anything. The rocking part neds a screaming solo, not the piano to repeat a riff. the breaks are a bit too medly-like and not song-like. each break is just a hard break, not a gradual move or mixed up. overall not bad. i liked parts of it :) keep playing
February 22, 200917 yr it's very nice. The vocalist was very good and kept me drawn to the song. I thought the use of operatic vocals could be better emphasized if you used a stronger, perhaps thicker texture of accompaniment instead of just the piano but maybe that's what you wanted. Towards the end before the vocalist came back it sounded more like a soundtrack, I was waiting for a pounding climax but it didn't come. But these are just minor opinions. Overall I enjoyed the piece, I thought it was refreshing to listen to.
