Prelude and fugue in F minor

Featured Replies

Hi!

This is a prelude and fugue I wrote in f minor for the piano.

The fugue part is a counterpoint fugue which contains the subject twice as fast and backwards, also a part of the subject twice as slow at the end and a different subject i the middle.

The score is probably messy since I compose via the piano roll, so the score is an export from Logic.

Hey!

This seemed quite good to me :D, although I found it hard to follow due to the score :S I'd have prefered it if the voices were seperated in the fugue but thats probably just me being picky :P

I thought the subject in the fugue followed on well from the thematic material in the prelude, but i think maybe changing the tempo once the fugue begins could help the listener distinguish between the two (just my opinion though ;))

Perhaps also using some of the piano's upper range could show some more contrast between the voices.

Great prelude and fugue i liked it

Thanks! :) I do apologize for the score, I can imagine it is hard to follow hehe...

Thanks for the input, I will try and play around with the tempo on the fugue to differ it from the prelude.
