Which software to view midi on keyboard

Featured Replies

All I want to do is play a midi

see each note play on a keyboard

and be able to slow it down

and the software to be free.

does it exist?

If you used linux, I'd say yes, as you could play a file in Muse which would be connected via your Jack server to an on-screen keyboard. By using the sequence tools in Muse, you would then be able to slow the tempo and isolate parts.

If you use Windows... meh. Windows doesn't use the Jack audio server, so I don't know how connecting devices works.

There is also Anvil Studio. I am not 100% sure if this is completely free but I know that there are many features and that it is shareware. Hopefully you can use this featire in the shareware version... let me know!
