My Fantasy Game/Film Cues

Featured Replies

Hello all.

Here's a bunch of (some unfinished) game/film tracks of mine that I've worked on over the past few months for various projects (or some just for no reason).

Any and all comments appreciated.

1. This is a fantasy-esque opening inspired by the opening section of one of the famous WoW pieces by Jason Hayes (forget the name of the track, I think it's the night elf theme).

2. Generic Pirate Action track in the spirit of Pirates of the Caribbean and such.

3. This is part of the beginning of an opening for a toon-ish game.

4. This is a fun and bouncy bit from another toon-ish game meant to inspire excitement and exploration.

5. This is an opening for a zombie inspired game.

The commission-er didn't feel it rose to a dramatic enough arc so here's what I began to work on to make the middle rise to a bigger climax..there's an empty spot afterwards towards the end where I didn't fill in the connecting area yet to what I had composed before:

Does this work better?

6. This will be for an evil tower/boss battle part of a game. Meant to be frightening and/or intense/evil.

7. This was intended for a werewolf village slash exploration area of an adventure/rpg type game.

8. This is a majestic hollywood-esque opening for an exodus inspired game.

9. This is a sort of study on a certain type of movie/film "idiom" and sound, you'll know it when you hear it, akin to the sound Elfman created with the Simpsons theme song, etc. Unfinished for now though.

10. This is a theme for a character named Kristen, melancholy in the time of the dark ages and such. Presented in two versions violin/piano as a 'performance version' and flute/harp as the real sort of medieval version.

A few fragments:

11. A generic, very dramatic/epic intro:

12. A generic study/attempt at a dramatic/pirates/epic type hollywood cue:

I'll try to post more if/when I have time.

Feel free to listen to any and all of these and leave your comments good or bad.

Thank you all for your time.

This is a lot of music, I've just listened to the first. It kind of reminds me more of Danny Elfman from Edward Scissorhands until about :54 when you open up, then it sounds more like Kingdom Hearts.

In any case, good track, I enjoyed listening! I would work on your instrument realism, such as using more expression within the notes.
