I am in no way a Stockhausen fan. I've only heard his electronic pieces up until a few days ago and, while interesting in theory, they don't do anything for me. So, for a long time I just ignored his work because I expected it all to be along those lines until I heard Stimmung. There is a lot to like about this piece and I suggest that anyone interested in modern music, even Stockhausen naysayers, should check it out. I know it's old, but it's easy to miss this stuff if no one points it out to you.

Heartily agreed. With everything. Not a Stockhausen fan in any sense, but this is a really well-done work.
