what do you think of this passage... not sure how i could possibly use it.. it kind of sounds like a passage billy joel would bang out on a synth mid song. how can i work backwords from this meaningfully going in that direction?

also the fact that the midi sounds are so weak it kind of makes the rhythm sound wrong. or maybe that's my drums? but the rhythms are what i want them to be.. it's just the time signature i might want to change. i have it going back and forth between 4/2 and 17/8. i could go back between 16 and 17/8 maybe that's better.. but i need 17 sometimes to get that pair of downward f-e-d's in.
