Whispering Clouds

So I figured how to do a PDF form of the piece and others to come. :D So Norby where is it too dissonant for you in certain sections?

I like it overall, very effective musical language for the medium. Love your clustered, drawn out chords especially.

However, I feel like that motive continuing in the lower voices in m. 9 is nice but sounds too dissonant in that register, compared to its iterations in higher voices. Maybe this is what you want, I don't know.

I think some of the voicings could be varied to break the monotony.

Why alternate between 3/4 and 6/8 in that section? It seems unnecessary. I think if you just write it all in 6/8 it would still make sense and you wouldn't even really have to change around the grouping all that much.

Ending and beginning were a bit abrupt. I found myself really drawn to your dissonant, long chords, and I think they really define the piece, so why not begin with that before moving to the forward motion of your beginning motives?

Look forward to hearing more from you.

Your whole piece is dissonant dude. However it's not a bad piece. It's interesting but for my likeing a "bit".....dissonant.

The rhythms of this piece don't seem to suit the harmony. You have a really interesting harmonic language in this, but then you get this almost nursery rhyme effect in the rhythmic aspect, it's seems a bit weird, I dunno.

You really shouldn't be separating the 3/4 and 6/8 section like was mentioned before. It's all in 6/8, just with some crotchets in it, the 6/8 pulse is still very clear.

The whole tonal happy 6/8 bit is a strange moment, I do wonder *why* it's there, though, but it's refreshing to the ear either way.

I'm interested in hearing this in a live performance ^^
