In Thought

Featured Replies

OK, time for some orchestral music on my part.

Scored for Flutew, 2 Horns In F, and Strings, it describes me as a composer being "in thought" late at night yesterday.

My style of writing (as some of you have possibly gathered) is more chordal and chord progressions rather than full of tunes. OK, there are a couple of tunes in this one, but I suppose I am a Debussy in terms of texture and colour. I suppose my style is very programmatic and definately inspired from film (and documentary) music.

I am not 100% happy with one of the sections, but I won't tell you which one! :whistling:

Enjoy!

Not as popular as I thought, then...

I'm not really qualified to comment as more than a listener, but I think the flute part is too repetitive. I like the accompaniment though (especially measures 33 to 41).

too long for the begining , cut some phrase at the beginning , it will better , i guess

I was waiting for someone to say that. I thought of halving the beginning but it felt too short, however doubling it felt too long. I left it as the longer version to see what someone would say...

I kind of agree with you, so I did something about it. In the process, I also modified a couple of things.
