Cheap Music Moniters

Featured Replies

Hey I don't know if this has been asked if it has just point me to the right thread. I'm looking for some music monitors for my computer. I'm looking to spend $100 max. I looked at bose speakers their cheapest is $99.00 their nicest is $400.00. Does anybody know if the $100 ones are good or of some that are better in that price range?

Bose Speakers

Honestly, if you are really serious about your music, it's hardly worth buying moitors if you can't spend alot on them. The reason is that the cheaper the monitors, the more they actually shape the sound that's coming of the computer, so what you think sounds good might actually be not bassy enough or have way too much bass etc.

But I guess if you're just starting, and aren't looking for perfect results, then $100 will get you some ok monitors, but like I said before it's wellllllllllllll worth buying expensive ones if you can.

True, but also consider that really good monitors are only worthwhile if you have an acoustically optimised room. Otherwise the neutral sound of the monitors will just be killed by your room resonances. (That doesn't mean however it wouldn't be worthwhile to save for something in the, say, $300-$600 range.)

Anyways, in the end it's your ears that have to decide. Personally, I'd just go to a good shop and listen to whatever they have in your price range.

Yeah true I personally wouldn't spend more than $500 unless I had a decentish studio setup.

xD

Good luck =]

You guys aren't giving me the answer I want. I want you to say that $100 will get me positive results. Oh well. Since you recommend spending a little more money what would you recommend in the $200 - $300 range in a normal room?
