Simple Sibelius 4 question!

Hey guys,

I searched for this and couldn't find anything so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Why is it on Sibelius 4 that if you have two of the same instrument play the same note, it will cancel out if the notes are of different value?

Say for instance if one violin sustains a middle-C and the other part has a line that goes "B-C-B-A", as soon as the "C" is hit it will cancel out the other C. Why is this?

that depends of the MIDI Channels, if both instruments are in the same channel it will be a problem, if they are in different channels both notes must sound.

press M to show mixer, and configure the MIDI channel to each track (staff) ... if is an orchestra score and you need all channels and all strings are in the same, ... well ... :)

What you can do is "cancel" the second note that makes the "sustain" C stops, .... select the note, and in "playback" deselect the number 1 (2,3,4,5 if there are repeat bars)
