"Falling" for solo trumpet

Featured Replies

This piece I wrote a few months ago, and never got around to getting it up here. It's a short but kind of neat piece, with a "falling" baseline in the piano. The solo trumpet enters, plays with the keyboard, enters a short stoptime section, and then finishes with solo piano. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this piece. The only part I didn't like was measures 29 and 30. The trumpet part there would sound better in a live performance with double tounging, or even possibly in the "stoptime" section. I really enjoyed the piano part. Well Done!

Personally, I find the piano part works well as accompaniment, but perhaps it would be good to make it a little more interesting in the passages with just piano, make it slightly more melodic.

Great melodies in the trumpet!
