Harpsichord Solo Competition

Featured Replies

As last month's was, this month's composition is late, so the deadline will be August 6. This month's competition will be to write a solo for a harpsicord, as the winner of last month's composition has chosen, with optional piano accompaniment. Each composition must be at least 73 measures long, and no more that 153. There are really not many guidelines, so have fun with this. Submissions will be due on August 6, and the winners will be announced at an undetermined date, depending on how many people enter.

  • Each composition must be at least 73 measures in length.
  • No composition shall exceed 153 measures in length.
  • A PDF file of each sumbission is required.
  • An audio file of each sumbission must be included. Acceptable formats include MIDI, MP3, WAV, or other formats that are playable on a standard Windows PC.
  • All sumbissions must be e-mailed to internetphilharmonic@yahoo.com by no later than AUGUST 6TH.

Any relevent questions can be PMed to me and will be answered in a timely fashion.

You will... concourse? I am assuming your understanding of English is failing you here... "concourse" is a noun, not a verb. You perhaps mean to say instead "join" or "participate". ;)

I'm in. In fact, I'm emailing it to you now. PM me if you do not receive it within the next few days please :-)
