;):D:D Hey Nickthoven, I'm not sure what you meant completely, but pretty sure enough to continue the song. Anyways, I've tried to add more marching effects and some parts were succesful. Here it is. Please give your honest opinions ;)

Yes, yes! It's a good start! ;) The piece flows muuuch better now. You still have some areas to address, however. The melody lacks form. Usually melodies and bits and pieces of a phrase come in groups of 2, or 4. It seems right now that form is being forgotten, and instead there's a random feeling. In order to keep the march feel, you must have strong down-beats. These get a little lost. Address the form and the rhythm and you should have a nice little march on your hands.

Hello Achan,

I think you would benefit from considering what is holding your piece together. In almost all small pieces like this one, there is something of a "through line" that keeps the piece coherent and gives it direction. The through-line functions as a road through the piece. I don't want to tell you what I think your through-line should be in this piece because that's part of the creative process. It can be a melodic fragment, a rhythm, a texture...any musical component can be used as the "glue" to hold a piece together.

So I ask you: what is your through-line? What is the glue that holds the phrases of your piece together? I think this will help you a lot.

Aer-- That's exactly what I was trying to say with the march figure, but you said it a million times better! Thanks! ;)
