August 30, 200917 yr This is a piece I wrote for the Rosa Ensemble (www.rosaensemble.nl). They decided (with my consent) to skip the last two bars, because they felt it destroyed the the idea of the piece. You can listen to an mp3 demo version on www.studioboeke.nl/004 under MUSIC. It's a small study in different signatures but in the same tempo, and therefore once in a while joining up. It's quite mathematically actually, and I wonder if it's still nice to listen to if you don't know the concept behind it. Please comment, thanks! Hinkele scores Bauke Score.pdf
August 31, 200917 yr did people actually play from this score, because there isn't a single expression marking on it. Did they ask you about that?
September 8, 200917 yr When it gets dissonant, around bar 35 and later, it sounded kind of off to me, which I would blame on the lack of dynamics. I think if you increase dynamics in these parts I imagine I'd like it. I'd love to hear a live recording. I liked the unpredictability, liked the cross-rythms. In a word, I liked it.
