Music for a Tea Party

Posting for the first time. Got really bored this summer and tried a little composing for the first time... ever. Here's three BRIEF movements for a string quartet. Wanted to see how I could do working with 6/8 time. Sorry for the lack of dynamics and articulation on the scores... but i am still learning the program.

yup.. you should check the instrument ranges.

Another thing.. on the second one, you should write how the performers will play the notes, one example is you should write a term pizz. on the top of the staff if notes shall be played as pizzicato.

wow, that is totally embarrassing that i didn't know the ranges for these instruments. i just scored it for keyboard and tried a simple copy and paste procedure. ha. ha. oops. the biggest problem is the viola, no?

well, i tried fixing it, a little. it felt like compositional triage... and sounded like it too. would it be best to just move the key up? are the violin parts just boring to play that low?

It's cool man, sounds like it could be used in a commercial or something short.
