Excellent piece. The ending kind of snuck up on me. This style of music should end on something more cadencial, perfect authentic (V-I) preferably. You technically have a V-I ending, but it doesnt have a cadential feel to it. Try slowing it down at the end and using a fuller V chord to create more resolution to the I. If you dot the third to the last eighth note in the bass line and make the second to the last note a sixteenth (as to match the melody) it will create a lot more movement and will help it sound more cadential as well.

Experiment with these ideas and see what works for you. Hope it helps. And, again, wonderful peice overall!:)

Wait a candy pickin moment! You wrote the tenor part in the alto clef!!! Not the tenor clef!!! What has this world come to?!?!? ;)

It's very Handel-esque. Seriously, though, why did you use Alto clef? The Tenor will hate you (trust me, I am one). It's not that I can't read alto clef, it's just that you could have put it in tenor clef and it would have been much easier! lol

Simen... it really is UNacceptable to write vocal parts in anything else besides the Treble and Bass clef.

Right... Obviously in the time period of THIS style, it would have been a different story. But, IF you want a singer to attempt this NOWadays, please write it in the current typography. It's not only correct, but it's just common courtesy.
