A crab canon is a melody that is accompanied by itself played backwards.

Here is a longer crab canon by JS Bach

Its short, but I do like it. A very good example of a crab canon. Though, I have to ask, is there any more to this piece? And why does the piano sound like a guitar??

Short but nice, I like the chromatic.

Actually, I did write one just a few days ago (not chromatic though)

Here it is:

What do you think of this?

Thanks. There isn't any more to it. It's just something I whipped up in response to a discussion about Bach involving chromatic sequences, eighth notes, and melodic and rythmic integrity in canon writing.

It sounds like a guitar because my sequencer does a very poor job imitating a harpsichord (too many artifacts, presumably from compressoin) so I simply swapped in the guitar sound.
