Here is a new song that I justg finished, I'd say it took me like a month, and the hardest part was the harmonizing and gettng in a good melody, it's kind of like a song that just came to mind, no big inspiration, its a slow song for 2 violins a viola and cello

Nice use of dissonance, and good two part counterpoint at the beginning. Good counterpoint through the whole thing, actually. It's a little... plodding, I guess - though that sounds harsher than I mean. It has this very regular hyperbeat, which contributes a little to its slowness. It's very rare to have a regular hyperbeat if you're aware of such things, but it's very easy to fall into it once you start. The staccato section seems to pop out of nowhere, but it does a good job of working with previously used rhythmic and harmonic material. I'm consistently struck by the use of dissonance, especially on strong beats, which keeps the material moving. The final gestures seem to be at first part of a new piece, rather than the ending of this one, though that feeling goes away after a while. Nice ending.

Jeez, Nico - harsh. But thanks for the compliment... :D
